"Cadastre of free-living infusoria and shell amoebae of Azerbaijan" monograph was published by head of the Laboratory of Protozoology of the Institute of Zoology, corresponding member of ANAS Ilham Alakbarov, Chief Scientific employer Natalia Snegova and the research associate of this institution Eliana Tahirova in Moscow.

The publication summarizes the species diversity of free-living infusoria and shell amoebae and dry land of Azerbaijan, as well as information on the range of their distribution. The chapter dedicated to the infusorians reflects information on 757 species distributed in 13 regions.

In the monograph is given the distribution of representatives of various families of infusorians in biotopes, including seas, fresh waters and lands.

The new edition is the first reference book about free-living infusoria and shell amoebae of Azerbaijan.
