A copy of the Azerbaijani poet's collection obtained from the Tehran library

Doctor of Philology Pasha Kerimov, deputy director of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mohammed Fuzuli, has received a copy of the Persian manuscripts of the Azerbaijani poet Heydari, who lived during the Safavid period. The poet's divan and poems written on different occasions are included here.

The 294-page manuscript dates back to 1572. Excavations show that Heyderi was the author of beautiful poems, visited Mecca and Medina, and went to India three times.

The poet died at the end of the 16th century.
