Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An international conference entitled "Alisher Navoi's heritage and universal spiritual values" was held in Navoi, Uzbekistan on the life and work of the great Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi.

The event was attended by outstanding scientists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries.

Director of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, academician Mohsun Nagisoylu made a report on "Navoi and Classical Azerbaijani Literature", Elchin Ibrahimov, employee of this institute on "Alishir Navoi and Turkic world", department head of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology Almaz Binnetova on "Portrait of Navai in Baburnama" at the conference.
