“Migration policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan and human rights” international conference launched

By joint organization of ANAS Institute of Human Rights and Conflictology, AR State Migration Service and International Migration Organization, “Migration policy and human rights in the Republic of Azerbaijan” has launched.

The conference brought together experts in the fields of politics, economics, social sciences and humanities, as well as officials of non-governmental organizations.

Opened the event with opening remarks, the director of the Institute of Human Rights of ANAS, PhD in Law Ayten Mustafayeva noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the problems of migration policy in the country, as well as the development of human rights.

Taking into account the decrees of the President to address within the legal norms of problems arising in the field of migration policy, as well as gain control and migration management, she highlighted the association of joint efforts in this work, special attention to the protection of the rights of Azerbaijani emigrants abroad, their relations with representatives of countries addressing their welfare after his return , and noted the importance of the signing of appropriate agreements between states.

Deputy Head of the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Parviz Musayev touched on the issue of migration policy support at the national level as an indicator of economic progress, as well as the important role of international experience in the management of this policy. He clarified the issue of security of migration policy in the international arena, the activities of international organizations in this field, and also gave information about the existing problems in the migration system in the period.
