A protocol of intent was signed between the Regional Experimental and Resource Center for Ecological Agriculture of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of ANAS in Gakh and the German “Rapunzel” company. The document was signed by the director of the Regional Experimental and Resource Center for Environmentally Friendly Agriculture, Professor Amin Babaev and President of the Rapunzel Company Joseph Wilhelm.

March 21-23, one of the founders and leaders of the clean agricultural movement in the world - the president of the German company "Rapunzel" Joseph Wilhelm - was on a working visit to Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the visit comes from the strategic interests of the company "Rapunzel" related to the issue of "Development of organic agriculture", which is one of the main priorities of the Strategic Roadmap for the production and processing of agricultural products in Azerbaijan. During the visit, J.Wilhelm was accompanied by a group of experts from the company "Rapunzel".

Within the framework of a program prepared in advance by the Regional Experimental and Resource Center for Environmentally Friendly Agriculture and presented to the management of Rapunzel, meetings were held in farms and processing enterprises operating in the Gakh and Zagatala Districts and experiencing a transitional phase to the ecological economy in the production process. The German delegation highly assessed the land and climatic conditions of the region, the trends in the ecological production of farmers and their business skills. At the end of the visit, during the discussions, the German guests announced their intention to implement projects in the region in various directions.
