Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A scientific session on "Sheikh Sanan - the first historical verse tragedy in Azerbaijani literature" was held at Huseyn Javid's House Museum on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the great poet and playwright Huseyn Javid's "Sheikh Sanan".

Director of the museum, doctor of philological sciences Gulbaniz Babakhanli made a report on the presentation of "secular and divine love in the tragedy of Sheikh Sanan". The scientist underlined that Hussein Javid was able to create a beautiful epic of love by using classical literature and folklore in Sheikh Sanan.

Participants of the event also got acquainted with an exhibition on "Sheikh Sanan".
