The republican scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The event was opened by Dadash Huseynov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of GGI, Corresponding Member of ANAS, and informed the participants on the agenda issues.
The meeting discussed the results of joint research conducted by the Institutes of Archeology and Ethnography and Oil and Gas. It was noted that the archeological findings are based on radiocarbon, electron paramagnetic resonance and thermoluminescence methods currently available at the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS.
D.Huseynov emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with a special research group established in this direction.
Then, the leading researcher of the RPI Sahib Mammadov made a presentation on "Application of radioisotope methods in the history of archaeological findings."
The report was welcomed by the participants and many questions were answered.
