The Fund of Documentary Sources of ANAS National Museum of the Azerbaijan History of keeps photos of the figures of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and emigration related to the 1st half of the 20th century. These photos were donated to the museum by professor of the Turkey Anatolian University Zaur Maharam.
Most of the photos reflect political emigrants who lived abroad. Among them there are photos of the founders and activists of the “Musavat” Party, figures of ADR Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh, Abbasgul Kazimzadeh, Mirzabala Mamadzadeh, Khosrov bey Sultanov, Jeyhun bey Hajibeyli and others which shot in Poland, Germany and France.
A photograph of a well-known public figure, writer Ali bey Huseynzadeh was shot in Baku at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition, the photograph taken in Orenburg of the chairman of the parliament of the ADR, Alimardan bey Topchubashev, with the famous Crimean public figure, founder and editor of the newspaper "Tarjuman" Ismail bey Gasprali, belongs to the same period. Photo of the famous businessman and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev with his personal signature, presented for the memory of Ali bey Huseynzadeh was shot in 1910 in Baku. These photographs are of great importance to researchers studying the history of the Republic and emigration.
