Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Active member of the Society of Petroleum-Geologists, academician Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh, who contributed to the success of the society, was elected an honorary member of the SC "Society of Petroleum-Geologists". According to the decree, chairman of the SC "Society of Petroleum Geologists" Arzu Jafarova introduced to H.Yusifzadeh an honorary member's badge.

It should be noted that, the non-governmental organization "Society of Petroleum-Geologists", together with the world-famous associations of Europe (EAGE), America (AAPG) and the world (SPE), conducted 10 professional international conferences since 1993, as well as 10 republican scientific conferences on the development of the ideas of well-known geologists Ali Ashraf Alizadeh and Shafaat Mehdiyev, 23 republican and international conferences for students and young researchers, 52 geological excursions for students and participants in international conferences, 39 thematic seminars and more than 130 special reports for students.

Public association "Society of Oilmen-Geologists" publishes a scientific bulletin "Azerbaijan Geologist" (currently published 22 publications). Also, the public association publishes textbooks and teaching materials, dictionaries, scientific and popular science monographs, actively participates in international conferences and exhibitions, organizes and finances research work of students, and also gives students an understanding of the specifics of work in various areas of the oil industry.
