Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Central Scientific Library of ANAS hosted an event titled " Days of Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the light of  Azerbaijan Democratic Republic - 100".

CSL is not only gathering, protecting and sharing information, it is also an innovative enterprise producing information, director of the library, PhD in Medicine Leyla Imanova expressed. She talked about the library's contribution to the implementation of President Ilham Aliyev's Decree of 16 May 2017 "On the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic" - national digital memory, free electronic resources and other activities in the field of information.

Later Colonel Mikail Huseynov, representative of Defense Ministry, spoke about the glorious and tough warfare that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had built during the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan. Speaking about the purposeful policy and rapid development in the field of army building after the restoration of independence, the Colonel gave information about the preparation of the National Army.

Culture and promotional counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan Irfan Chiftci spoke about the importance of Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship and brotherhood, saying that the army building in both countries has an ancient and rich history.

Then the film "Days", prepared by graduates of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, was demonstrated.

At the end of the event, CSL team was honored with an honorary diploma "For active participation in youth military patriotic education" on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
