Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On June 29, the next meeting of the Bureau of Social Sciences Division of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held.

Members of the bureau, heads of relevant scientific institutions, scientific secretaries and co-employees took part in the event.

Academician-secretary of the department, academician Nargiz Akhundova opened the meeting with introductory remarks and told about the issues on the agenda.

Then, scientific-organizational issues were considered. After the discussion, the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Caucasian Studies of ANAS was partially changed. It was decided to send scientific researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Z.M. Bunyadov Narmin Mammadova to China.

A number of personnel issues were considered at the event. PhD Rashad Rustamov and Irada Aliyeva appointed as leading scientific researcher at the Institute of History named after A.Bakikhanov of ANAS, PhD in economics Amal Hasanli and PhD on physics and engineering Gulsura Mehdiyeva, leading scientific researcher at the Institute of Science History of ANAS, doctor of medical sciences Zaur Mammadov, senior scientific researcher at the same institute and Aynur Babayeva as head of Public Relations Department of ANAS National History Museum of Azerbaijan.

Finally, the current issues were discussed. It was decided to hold academician Jahangir Karimov’s 95th and correspondent member of ANAS Shahbaz Muradov’s 80th anniversaries.
