“Heydar Aliyev and the integration of the Turkic-speaking peoples " conference was held at the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS.

The conference was opened by the director of the institute , Professor Govhar Bakhshaliyeva and she spoke about gained successes among Turkic-speaking peoples and emphasized Heydar Aliyev’s care towards problems of Turkic-speaking peoples. She reminded nationwide leader’s speech at VII summit of heads of Turkic-speaking countries in 2001.

She noted Heydar Aliyev's services in establishing relations with Turkey: " Great leader paid more attention to Turkey 's role in realization of integration of Azerbaijan into civilized world and success of our country is partly due to this relation” she stated.

“Due to Heydar Aliyev’s policy project communing Turkic people realized and organizations such as – “Turksoy”, “Turkpa”, “Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries Cooperation Council” “Turkish Academy” etc.. Baku- Tbilisi - Ceyhan and Baku - Tbilisi - Erzurum , TRACECA , the Silk Road , Trans-Anatolian , TAP and others are the results of Heydar Aliyev’s policy” director emphasized.

Then head of the Department of East-West of the Institute , Doctor of Science in Economics Dunyamali Veliyeva made a speech on theme “Heydar Aliyev and Turkish integration into the global economy of the world " , Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Central Asia and Far East of the Institute , PhD Gashimova Tarana on theme " Modern cultural and literal connections of Turkic peoples and Heydar Aliyev “.
