Famous gastroenterologist-surgeon, head of the Department 1st surgical diseases of Azerbaijan Medical University, corresponding member of ANAS Nura Bayramova is 55.

Nuru Yusifoglu Bayramov was born on September 17, 1963 in the village of Narimanli in the Basarkechar district of Western Azerbaijan. He received his first education in the secondary school of the village of Narimanli in 1970-1980. He continued his education at the faculty of treatment and prevention of the Azerbaijan Medical Institute in 1980-1986.

In 1986-1988 he graduated from clinical internship at the 1st department of surgical diseases of the Azerbaijan Medical University, and in 1988-1991 - postgraduate study in the Department of General Surgery of the Moscow Medical Academy after M.V.Lomonosov.

N.Bayramov worked as an assistant to the Department of I surgical diseases AMU in 1991-1994, and in 1994-1999 he was a doctor of the High-profile Hospital of Turkey, medical faculties of Yuzungi Il University and Kurukkale University. In 1999-2012 was assistant professor, professor and since 2012 head of the Department of I surgical diseases of the Azerbaijan Medical University. In 2015-2016 years. He served as Acting Director of the Surgical Clinic AMU.

In 1991 he received a Ph.D. in medical sciences, in 1999 he was a doctor of medical sciences, in 2008 he became a Professor, in 2014 became a corresponding member of ANAS.

His main scientific and practical directions are liver transplantation, surgical and therapeutic hepatology, metabolic surgery and laparoscopic surgery, general and oncological surgery. N.Bayramov performs laparoscopic and open operations on the liver, gall bladder, pancreas, liver transplantation operations, kidneys and stem cells.

As a result of his research, it was found that laser irradiation of blood has a corrective effect on the system of its coagulation and has a positive effect on liver regeneration. In addition, he clarified the parameters of the water method for liver resection, developed models of cysts and liver abscesses, studied the dynamics of regeneration after resection of normal liver and liver cirrhosis.

The scientist is the author of 23 books, 9 methodical recommendations, 111 articles and 175 theses. Under his leadership were trained 6 doctors of philosophy, 3 doctors of science.

In 2010 he was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Nuru Bayramov is a member of the International Federation of Obesity Surgery, European Hepatology, European Endoscopic Surgery, European Transplantation, International Gastroenterologists and Cancer Surgeons, Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons of Azerbaijan. He is Chairman of the Scientific Council on Medical Problems of the Coordination Council for Scientific Research of the Republic.
