Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Round Assembly Hall of the ANAS Main Building will held a jubilee meeting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and public figure of academician Hasan Abdullayev on September 26 at 11:00.

The event will be held in accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 14, 2017 "On the 100th anniversary of academician Hasan Abdullayev".

An outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, laureate of the State Prize, Honored Worker of Science, academician Hasan Abdullayev was born on August 20, 1918 in the Yaychi, Julfa district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He also laid the foundations of modern physics in Azerbaijan, in particular the physics of semiconductors and technology and defined key directions for the development of this science. For many years, the scientist who created the school, rich in fundamental research, made a significant contribution to the organization of science in the republic as president of the Academy of Sciences and played an important role in integrating science into the international scientific space.
