Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry held an event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous scientist, corresponding member of ANAS Eldar Zeynalov was held.
Vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Dilgam Tagiyev talked about the lifetime of the chemist, his rich scientific and pedagogical activity at the anniversary meeting. He noted that the main directions of scientific activity of ANAS correspondent E. Zeynalov are the study of kinetic compatibility of hydrocarbon and polymeric catalytic aerobic and peroxid oxidation processes in the presence of fullerenes, metal-containing carbon nanostructures, nanofibers and functionalized carbon nanostructures.
Academician D.Taghiyev informed that as a result of research conducted under E.Zeynalov's leadership, the activity of natural antioxidants contained in Azerbaijani oil and oil fractions for the first time was researched, a data bank on the inhibitory activity of oils was established in Azerbaijan, synthetic oil acids and oxidisation scientific and practical basics have been developed and the reactions of ether with the participation of nano-dimensional titanium oxides have been studied. At present, chemist scientist conducts research on the synthesis and application of catalysts based on nanoparticles derived from kaustobiolites of oil origin.
He has prepared 11 PhD and 1 doctor of chemistry, the speaker underlined. He said that the research work of the chemist scientist was reflected in 10 monographs and books, about 400 scientific articles, including 15 patents and patents.
Then D.Taghiyev presented the Honorary Order of the Institute to the scientist.
PHD in Chemistry, Elchin Huseynov delivered a report on the life and scientific activity of the jubilee.
Then acad. Ajdar Majidov, Professor Asif Mammadov and others congratulated the chemist scientist on his 70th anniversary and shared pleasant memories about it.
Finally, Zeynalov expressed his gratitude to organizers and participants of the event.
