Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Participants of the international conference "Decorative art and interior" in Baku on 10-12 October visited the National History Museum of Azerbaijan (NHMA).

President of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Suay Aksoy, chairman of the ICOM Azerbaijan National Committee, director of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum Shirin Malikova and other guests met the director of the NHMA, academician Naila Velikhanli and informed them about the organization.

Then the guests got acquainted with the ancient material and cultural samples of Azerbaijan in the exposition halls of the museum and H.Z.Taghiyev's house museum.

At the end of the conference participants were presented catalogs and pamphlets "National Historical Museum Collection of Pearls".

The organizers of the international conference are the Ministry of Culture of AR, ICOM's International Committees on Decorative Arts, Design Museums and Collections and Historical House Museums, as well as ICOM Azerbaijan National Committee and Azerbaijan Carpet Museum.
