Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS continues a project to promote science in the regions

Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS within the project on science promotion in regions expands the scale of scientific seminars “The last scientific achievements”, organized for students and masters. On 8 May in International day o f museum the young scientist of Academy within “open doors” project went to Sheki where visited “Palace of Sheki Khans' " which was included in the list of world historical monuments. The next day, the young people visited the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev. After getting acquainted with the Heydar Aliyev Center in Sheki, the young scientists participated in a seminar organized by Sheki city of the party “Yeni Azerbaijan”. The event was opened by Director of of Sheki Regional Academy of Sciences, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Zekeriya Alizadeh. He estimated the event organized in Sheki as a shining example of management's attention to this region of ANAS.

Then the chairman of Sheki party organization of “Yeni Azerbaijan” (NAP) Dashgin Mikayilov gave information about the work conducted by the organization headed by him in connection with the youth. Chairman of Council of Young Scientists and specialists of ANAS, PhD in physics Famin Salmanov gave general information about the organization of the workshop and noted that under the leadership of the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, and the Azerbaijan science entered a new phase in development. Chairman of Council of Young Scientists and specialists from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical sciences Orhan Abbasov spoke on “Mud volcanoes are a national treasure of Azerbaijan”, deputy chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and specialists from the Institute of Geography Ph.D. in geography Zarnura Gamidova on “Hazardous morph dynamic processes occurring on the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus”, chairman of Council of Young Scientists and specialists of Republican seismological Service Center Vugar Faradzhev on “The application of modern approaches to seismic studies” etc.

In the second half of day, board members of Council of Young scientists and specialists visited the Sheki regional scientific center of ANAS, held a meeting with young scientists and examined conditions of their work.
