Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL) and the Embassy of Hungary to Azerbaijan held a joint event on the “The contribution of the Central Scientific Library to the development of Azerbaijani-Hungarian cultural relations”.

The Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Viktor Szederkenyi in his speech, spoke about cooperation with the Central Scientific Library. He stressed the serious contribution of joint cooperation in the development of Azerbaijani-Hungarian cultural relations.

The diplomat noted in his speech, joint, successful activity with the Central Scientific Library. “We are proud that, Central Scientific Library the Central Scientific Library has a Hungary book corner, books on the life and work of the great scientist Georg Hazai, as well as literature about the history of Hungary”. The Ambassador thanked the leadership of ANAS and the Central Scientific Library, as well as all the library staff for supporting the joint cooperation.

Then, the Ambassador on behalf of the President of Hungary Janos Adery presented the “Gold Cross” Order to the Director of ANAS Central Scientific Library Leyla Imanova for expanding bilateral scientific and cultural relations between the countries.

Then, ANAS Vice-President, academician Ibrahim Guliyev spoke at the event. He said that, relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary are characterized as friendly and strategic partnerships. The academician praised the work of the Central Scientific Library in this direction.
