On 24 October, at the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS, Fikret Bektashi and Etimad Bektashi's book "Nakhchivan Bektashis from past to present" has been presented.
The event was attended by employees of the Institute of Philosophy, History, Oriental Studies, Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, leading scientists of the republic and representatives of the Bektashis family.
Eynulla Madatli, deputy director of the Philosophy Institute, PhD in philosophy, said that the Bektashis sect established 700 years ago has made a significant contribution to Turkic culture and Islamic culture. It should be noted that bektashis fought hard against discrimination, with the emphasis on history, science, education, culture, gender equality, and moral values.
The scientist stated that the Bektashism was prohibited during the Soviet era, and the representatives of the family were forced to change their surnames in the form of Bektashev.
Then, one of the authors of the book, Etimad Bektashi, noted that, along with historical research and archival materials, some facts have been published for the first time. The publication is an important material for new research in Nakhchivan's social, political, science, education and culture, E.Bektashi emphasized.
Then, the leading researcher of the History Institute, PhD in history Dilavar Azimli, Doctor of Philology, Professor Tahira Mammad, Honored Artist, actor Elkhan Gasimov, Rauf Bektashi's grandson Sevinj Bektashi and others touched upon the importance of the book's great human qualities and shared their views.
The author of "Preface" and scientific editor of the book is Inji Gadirzadeh, reviewers are correspondent member of ANAS Haji Gadir Gadirzadeh and doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Rufat Huseynzade.
