Scientists of the Institute attended the international event in Rome

EaPConnect e-Health Workshop 2018 – “Biomedical Cooperation within the Framework of National Research and Education Network: Achievements and Best Practices” jointly by the Eastern Partnership (EaPConnect) and Consortium GARR -the Italian Research & Education Network held a seminar on 30-31 October 2018.

The seminar is devoted to discussing current issues and studying best practice.

The forum was attended by leaders and specialists of national scientific and educational networks of 6 countries of the Eastern Partnership (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine), including the head of the Department of the Institute of Information Technology, corresponding member of ANAS Mammadova Masuma and senior scientific worker, associate professor PhD in Engineering Zarifa Jabrayilova.

The event was organized within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership project. The seminar demonstreted thematic studies and advanced experience of various organizations in the field of biomedicine, financial and organizational models, and demonstrated the best results.

On the 1st day of the seminar, President of the Consortium GARR -the Italian Research & Education Network Federico Ruggieri and the President of the Italian Institute of National Health, Professor Gualtiero Ricciardi informed the participants about the purpose and program of the event.

The seminar was devoted to the discussion of architectural principles and the formation of NREN in support of medical societies, accumulated experience in telemedicine, personalized medicine, active and healthy aging, medical telecontrol, experience of societies involved in biomedical activities in Poland, Denmark and Israel, organizational and were presented financial models of NREN created in these countries, as well as at the seminar, experience and achievements accumulated in this segment and prospects.

On the 2nd day, were delivered reports on practical work and services, addressing the needs of different users and samples of used electronic biomedical applications were demonstrated.

Employees of the Institute of Information Technologies have stated that the information they receive at the event will be useful in identifying the directions of research in the field of electronic medicine in our country.
