Institute of History named after A.A.Bakikhanov of ANAS hosted a meeting devoted to discussion of the tasks ahead of the possibility of publishing historians’ works on journals with impact factor.

Director of the Institute, academician Yagub Mahmudov noted that the enterprise cooperates with scientific institutions of Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China, Bulgaria, Albania, Poland and other countries. He said that President Ilham Aliyev called the Institute of History of ANAS "a center of history research in our country" and highly assessed the research work of the institute's staff.

Then Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University, Academician Fikrat Aliyev made a report on "About Integration status of scientific journals in Azerbaijan into international bases". He noted that only 18 of the 365 scientific journals published in Azerbaijan meet international standards.

Then discussions were held around the topic. Academician Fikret Aliyev, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of International Journal “ Applied and Computational Mathematics” Nargiz Safarova and Editor-in-Chief of “Theoretical and Applied Mathematics” journal of the Turkic World Mathematical Society Gamar Mammadova participated in the discussions.
