Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The second special department of the Presidium of ANAS held a seminar-training on military registration and reservation of military personnel in scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of Azerbaijan (SSMCA), as well as employees engaged in military registration and reservation of military personnel in scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS attended the event.

Opening the meeting, head of the department Eldar Guliyev said that the event was dedicated to the execution of the Presidential Decree No. 629 dated October 8, 2018 "On the Status of Military Registration and Reservation of Military Officials and Institutions of the National Academy of Sciences and Preparation of Annual Reports in this Field".

Regular recruitment of military servicemen monitored, inspections carried out in 35 scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS this year, and the necessary shortcomings eliminated and the necessary recommendations were given, the speaker underlined.

Then Chief of the Department of Mobilization Preparation of the Ministry of Economy - the responsible secretary of the Republican Commission, Bahruz Mammadov, stated that this issue was always in the attention of ANAS. Mammadov said that the issue of raising the republic's defense capacity is under constant control, and mobilization is adapted to the processes taking place in the world taking into account the real threats.

The updated version of "Form 6" and the rules for the recruitment of military officials will soon be submitted to the state bodies and organizations, B.Mammadov stated.

Later Colonel Shaig Mammadov, deputy head of the Department for Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, emphasized that serious work has been done in this direction in the republic. It is necessary to mobilize the country to protect the country's independence and become a powerful state, Sh.Mammadov lined out.

After the speeches, the participants asked questions.

Later on, Natig Mehdiyev, Chief Specialist of the Second Special Department, gave recommendations for improving the rules of preparation of annual reports, accurate and correct forms of blanks.

At the seminar, speeches were also made on the work carried out in the current year on the state of military registration and preparation of the military personnel in the scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS.

At the end a number of current issues were considered.
