Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan academician Ramiz Mehdiyev is a responsible person for edition of the book. The volume covers the period from October to December 2015 to February 2016.

During this period, one of the most important events was the Davos forum, where Azerbaijan was represented at a high level. President Ilham Aliyev visited Switzerland for participated at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The book features materials on President Ilham Aliyev`s meetings in the framework of the Forum with heads of state and government of several countries, leaders of influential companies, his participation at the Forum’s session on “New energy balance”, as well as an extensive article by President Ilham Aliyev titled “The Future of the Azerbaijani Economy” on the official Forum website.

The volume also highlights the Azerbaijani President's official visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic Republic of Iran, United Kingdom, a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference, as well as a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan who arrived to our country on an official visit, signed documents, statements for the press.

The materials on reception of high-ranking officials from Turkey, United States, Pakistan, Germany, Bulgaria, Greece and other countries, the Economic Cooperation Organization, UN, NATO, the European Union, as well as text of an interview with the TV and Radio Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran were in included to volume.

The 72nd volume includes the President`s messages to the staff of the Azerbaijan Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors after Aziz Aliyev on the 80th anniversary of this institute, the Azerbaijani people devoted to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, Orthodox Christian community of Azerbaijan occasion of Christmas, on the 85th jubilees of People’s Artist of the USSR Murad Kajlayev, People’s Poet Nariman Hasanzadeh and other letters.

The book presents the speech of President Ilham Aliyev at the ceremony dedicated to the sporting results of 2015, the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socio-economic development and the upcoming tasks, on a meeting on economic and social issues, a conference dedicated to the results of the second year of the implementation of the “State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Regions in 2014–2018”, at a meeting with a group of youth of the country on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the 1st Youth Forum of Azerbaijan.

The publication also includes "Notes", "Private Names" and "Geographical Names".
