Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Moscow held the ceremony of award of winners of the international environmental competition EcoWorld-2018. At competition had been attended by 160 contestants from 18 countries.

According to the results of the competition in the nomination on “Environmental Policy and Environment” ANAS Republican Seismic Survey Center was awarded the 1st prize for studying the dynamics of landslide processes and the influence of seismicity on its activation.

In the nomination “Ecological developments, resource-saving and waste-free technologies” the international team of authors (Russia, Azerbaijan): Tamerlan Agayev, Agamir Gashimov, Elbrus Pashayev won the 2nd degree award for the development and creation of a regional water management system in the territory of Russian Federation by the usage of ecological and economic bases of rational use of water resources.

The EcoWorld Environmental Prize was established by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in 2003. The purpose of the award is to provide public support for environmental activities, to unite the efforts of government, business and the public to solve environmental problems.
