Author of the publication is the senior researcher of the Department of Regional Development and Use of Natural Resources of ANAS Institute of Economy, Ph.D. Nasimi Ahmadov.

The scientific editor of the publication is Doctor of Economy, Professor Rena Sultanova, reviewers are Doctor of Economy, Professor Hajiaga Rustambayov and Doctor of Geograpy, Professor Tapdig Hasanov.

For the first time, monograph widely studies the  theoretical and practical issues in the Absheron economic region, in order to increase the efficient use of mineral resources. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the usage of natural resources in the development of industry, the main features of the economic assessment of mineral resources, the impact of the use of oil and gas resources in the context of globalization on the formation of the world market for mineral resources are also researched.
