Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In Vienna, Austria was held a general conference on Nuclear Science and Technology: Addressing Current and Emerging Development Challenges of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

At the conference attended by 60 countries from over the world, Azerbaijan was represented by the AR Ministries of Emergency Situations, Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, corresponding member of ANAS Novruz Guliyev, director of the National Nuclear Research Center at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Adil Garibov, Head of Gamma Sterilization Complex – National Nuclear Research Center Zaur Khalilov, academician-secretary of the Division of Physical Mathematical and Technical Sciences, academician Nazim Mammadov and Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Samadov.

The conference discussed crucial role of nuclear science, technology and innovation in the field of sustainable development until 2030, the current situation and successes.
