Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, corresponding member of ANAS Amin Ismayilov attended the 11th International LANDNET symposium organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Estonian Life Sciences University in Tallinn, Estonia.

The symposium on the topic "Consolidation of Soil as an Existing Tool for Enormous Infrastructure and Sustainable Use of Soil" was organized by the Estonian Center for Eastern Partnership and the International CIZ.

A.Ismayilov informed about land use in Azerbaijan and "Land consolidation" project carried out by FAO. The symposium highlighted the advantages of the consolidation process as an optimal way to prevent land degradation and more efficient use of land.

Presentation of successful projects in Europe and Asia was also held within the event.

Finally, it was decided to hold the next symposium in the second half of 2019.
