Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, academician Rasim Alguliev made a speech at the IV Republican conference on "Actual multidisciplinary scientific-practical problems of information security".

The scientist emphasized the importance of the conference and expressed confidence that this event would make significant contributions to national security in our country.

Rapid development of high technology in our country facilitates life of people, as well as causes certain threats and intensification of the information war. A number of decisions were made by the head of state for the solution of existing problems and the national security concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been approved. At present, the academy is conducting serious research on information security as one of the priorities of information technology, grant projects are being implemented, R. Alguliev noted.

Noting that information security is one of the main tasks facing modern society, R. Alguliev added that both state and business structures play a great role in the implementation of these tasks. Noting the importance of ANAS's active involvement in the process, the scientist said that problems in the field of information security should be thoroughly investigated by relevant scientific institutions, which should be eliminated in the shortest time by research and intelligence.

Special attention should be paid to the teaching of software engineering at all stages of the Azerbaijani education system and the software products prepared in our country should meet world standards, said the scientist, expressing support to ANAS scientific educational institutions as a significant issue.
