Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of the Institute of Caucasian Studies, corresponding member of ANAS Musa Gasimli participated in the international scientific conference held by the Russian Academy of Sciences Dagestan Science Center in Makhachkala.

Speaking at the event, the Azerbaijani scientist said that the public-political process, which led to the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, has started with an enlightenment movement that promotes the formation of national self-reliance and national patriotism. M.Gasimli emphasized the importance of recognition of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic by the world's largest states in 1920, the creation of a charismatic army, and the first choice of women's right to vote in the Muslim East.

The scientist said that our independent republic, the legitimate successor of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, is developing rapidly and remaining a worthy place in the world community, remaining true to the democratic values ​​of the Republic. He noted that thanks to the care and attention of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev during the years of independence, important steps have been taken to propagate the period of the Republic and continue its work.
