Presentation of the book "Fundamentals of Azerbaijani Archeology" by Professor of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Professor Gafar Jabiyev was held.

Opening the event, Fariz Khalilli, the chairman of the Public Association for Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, “Miras”, said that the work, based on recent scientific studies and archeological researches, is intended for scientists and university employees, interested in archeology.

Then correspondent member of ANAS Vali Aliyev made a speech and appreciated the work of biographies about late archeologists of Azerbaijan and spoke about importance of recognition of such important personalities by the society.

Professor Asadulla Jafarov said that the book "Fundamentals of Azerbaijani Archeology", consisting of 14 sections, is a good work and fully covers the problems of Azerbaijani archeology.

Doctor of History, Professor Shikar Gasimov noted that Gafar Jabiyev represented not only domestic publications, but also international conferences, and presented his articles in authoritative magazines and archeology of Azerbaijan.

PhDs on history Habiba Aliyeva, Elmira Abasova and Taleh Aliyev shared their views on the book.

Finally, the author of the publication, G.Kabiyev expressed his gratitude to the participants of the event saying that this work, which is widely covered by the state care in the country. There is enough information about the development stages of archeology in Azerbaijan, archaeological periods, archeological cultures and archeological researches carried out in the territory of the country over the past hundred years.
