Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

An agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was signed between the Institute of Genetic Resources (IGR) of ANAS and Republican Anti-Plague Station Station of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan named after S.Imamaliyev.

The contract was signed by IGR Director, Corresponding Member of ANAS Zeynal Akperov and Republican Station Director Tahir Veliyev.

Under the contract for five years, the study of biological, ecological and socio-social characteristics of infectious diseases in human and agricultural animals in Azerbaijan, identification of genetic diversity of illnesses in the country, as well as their study on biological, ecological and socio-social factors, preparation of methods of struggle and co-operation with other research institutions in the relevant field and supporting joint participation in grant projects are intended.
