ANAS Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi will host the Republican Conference on "Yusif Seyidov and Actual Problems of Azerbaijani Linguistics" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of a prominent scholar - linguist, Honored Scientist, Professor Yusif Seyidov on April 2019.

During the conference will be deliver reports on the following sections - “Yusif Seyidov and syntax questions”, “Yusif Seyidov and questions of morphology”, “Memoirs about Yusif Seyidov”, “Yusif Seyidov and outstanding art historians”.

Conference materials are accept in Azerbaijani language. Materials must be sent to vagifkizi@gmail.com. The volume of theses should be no more than 5 pages. Keywords should be given in Azerbaijani and English, literature should be in alphabetical order. The summary should be in Azerbaijani and English.

The main scientific directions of Yusif Seyidov are the problems of the grammar of the Azerbaijani language, the history of the literary language and the problems of historical grammar, literary criticism and the problems of literary criticism. He is the author of such priceless works as “Modern Azerbaijani language”, “Grammar of the Azerbaijani language. Morphology","Problems of grammar in Azerbaijani linguistics", "Nesimi's works as historical monuments of the Azerbaijani literary language" and others.
