Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On February 6, the presentation of the books published in foreign languages authored by the Director of the Institute of History after A.A.Bakikhanov of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Yagub Mahmudov was held at the Presidential Library of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Director of the library, Mail Ahmadov spoke on the significance of Yagub Mahmudov’s works and the contribution to historical science, the significance of his works.

Then, Deputy Fazail Agamali noted that, in the writings of the scientist  valuable research work  in all the periods of the history of Azerbaijan was collected. Yagub Mahmudov studied the foreign policy and diplomatic relations of the states of Aggoyunlu and the Safavids, which played an important role in the history of our national statehood.

Academician also studied the history of Azerbaijani diplomacy, the ethnopolitical history of our people, traditions of statehood and the culture of revival, ethnopolitical history of historical lands and integral parts of Azerbaijan - Karabakh, Nakhchivan and Iravan, the stages of economy development, and the culture of the country.

In addition, academician has studied Heydar Aliyev’s personality, national and foreign policy of President Ilham Aliyev.

During the event, also reported Deputy Directors of ANAS Institute of History PhD in History Jabi Bahramov, Doctor of History Tofiq Najafli, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Philosophy, Ph.D. in Philosophy Eynulla Madatli.

In conclusion, Y.Mahmudov thanked the organizers and participants of the event. The scientist stressed that, the great leader Heydar Aliyev always paid a great attention and care to the study of the Azerbaijan history which is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
