II Special Department of ANAS Presidium held the next special seminar which was attended by heads of the Civil Defense (CD) headquarters of scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS.

Speaking at the meeting, head of the Department Eldar Guliyev noted that, seminars, trainings and other activities on Civil Defense are organized in accordance with the “Law on Civil Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On ensuring Civil Defense” dated September 25, 1998 and recommendations of the Ministry emergency situations.

He stressed the importance of conducting timely training in civil defense, in accordance with the plan for the implementation of preventive measures to protect employees from the effects of anticipated emergencies. He also noted the need to eliminate existing shortcomings.

Head of the Department spoke on the occasion of March 1 - World Day of Civil Defense. He gave the relevant instructions to the chiefs of staffs to celebrate this significant day at a high level in organizations and scientific institutions of ANAS.

Then, chief specialist of the Department, Oktay Farzaliyev delivered paper on “Studying the methods of civil defense training of the Steering Committee”. He noted that, in scientific institutions and organizations, trainings of the Civil Defense Leadership Team are conducted in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 25, 1998, number 193.

In conclusion, were considered a number of current issues.
