ANAS Institute of Petrochemical Processes after Academisian Y.Mammadaliyev and the Russian Information and Cultural Center held a conference on the devoted to the 150th anniversary of the Mendeleev's Periodic Table.

The event was attended by teachers and students of secondary schools and the Lyceum after academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Director of the institute, academician Vagif Abbasov opened the conference, delivered a report on the role of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, which was discovered by an outstanding Russian scientist D.I.Mendeleev. A detailed explanation of the chemical elements table of the famous Azerbaijani chemist Abbas Chayhorsky was given.

Then, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, PhD in Chemical Sciences Narmina Abdullayeva informed the participants of the conference about the activities of D.I.Mendeleev in Baku.

At the end of the conference, the representative of the Russian Information and Cultural Center, Deputy Chairman of the Russian community Yakunina Lyubov expressed gratitude to the research team and the Director of the institute, stressed the importance of close cooperation between institutions for future generations.
