The anniversary event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of prominent biologist-scientist, Honored Scientist, Director of the Institute of Bioresources, academician Tariyel Talibov was held at the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS.

The head of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev talked about Tariyel Talibov's meaningful life, rich scientific and pedagogical activity. He noted that the outstanding scientist devoted his entire life to the biodiversity of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. His research has been published in 55 monographs and books, about 300 scientific articles, including patents and maps. In addition, the biologist has published 2 volumes of "Red Book of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", 2 volumes "Geography of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", 2 volumes of "Nakhchivan Encyclopedia", "Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Medicinal Plants", "Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic biodiversity and its rarest species "and other generalizing fundamental scientific publications.

The head of the department noted that in the Institute of Bioresources headed by academician T.Talibov, who is well-known outside the country and has been using his scientific works in the past 15 years, 6 scientists and 21 PhDs have been prepared.

It was noted that T.Talibov was awarded several prizes for his many years of fruitful scientific, scientific-practical and organizational activities. He was awarded Honorary orders of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Presidium of ANAS and was awarded the honorary title "Honored Scientist of the Republic of Azerbaijan". In addition, he was awarded the "Jubilee Gold Medal" in connection with the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Hasan bey Zardabi has been awarded by ANAS for his fundamental and applied scientific achievements in the field of natural sciences.

Then, I. Hajiyev presented the Honorary decree of the division to T. Talibov for many years and fruitful activity.

Corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli, Saleh Maharramov, Aliaddin Abbasov, Abulfaz Guliyev and doctor of biology Ismayil Mammadov congratulated the biologist on the occasion of the 70th jubilee and wished him success in his health and scientific activity.

At the end of his speech, T.Talibov  thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as the organizers and participants of the event.
