The article, co-authored by the Dean of the Faculty of Physics of the Baku Branch of Moscow State University after M.Lomonosov Nahmadov Enver and faculty members was published in authoritative journal "Physical Review B" of the American Physical Society.
The graphene layer, which belongs to the topological dielectrics class was discovered in 2004 by English physicists from Russian A.Geim and K.Novoselov. In 2010 they were awarded the Nobel Prize for their discovery.
In theoretical studies conducted by Nahmadov Enver and the Faculty of Physics, the magnetic properties created by vacancies in the graphene layer were were identified and was developed the theory of separation of vacancies in the layer.
