Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Chemistry of Additives after Academician Ali Guliyev held event devoted to the “Science Day”. Academician-Secretary of the Division of Chemical Sciences, Director of the Institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev noted that, Science Day is a significant event for the Azerbaijani scientific community. According to him, the establishment of the "Science Day" by order of the head of state dated April 9, 2018 is a vivid example of respect and attention to scientists.

V.Farzaliyev mentioned the stages of development of science in Azerbaijan chronologically, noting that serious scientific achievements were achieved both in the Soviet years and in the years of independence, as well as the formation of scientific schools in various scientific fields. Noting that, Academy was under threat of closure in the early years of independence, he said that the return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to political power in Azerbaijan, science to enter a new phase of development. He noted that, the Academy has a national status, created its new stage and retained it as a national treasure of Azerbaijan.

The scientist said that in recent years, important work has been done to develop science, integrate into world science, create a unity of science and education, increase the popularity of science, attract talented young people and achieve significant success.

Further, head of the laboratory of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Hagigat Javadova, Senior Researcher, Ph.D. in Chemistry Nusrat Aliyev and Head of the Laboratory of the Institute, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, Ph.D. in Chemistry, Associate Professor Afsun Sujaev.

In conclusion, 5 scientists of the institute were awarded certificates of honor of the Department of Chemical Sciences.
