Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Sheki Regional Scientific Center (SRSC) and the Executive Power of the Balakan region held the scientific-practical conference dedicated to the Science Day.

Opening the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Power Nazakat Rustamova noted that, by order of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 9, 2018, March 27 was established as the Science Day in Azerbaijan.

Further, Director of the SRSC, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Yusif Shukurlu briefly spoke about the main activities of the center, as well as its achievements in recent years. Stressing that, the development of science is closely related to the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, Y.Shukurlu said that, the policy, founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, in the field of science and education is currently being successfully continued by AR President Ilham Aliyev.

During the event, a number of reports on science and education in the history of Azerbaijan were delivered. For active participation in the conference, a group of scientists from the region was awarded Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts from the Sheki Regional Research Center.

In conclusion, SRSC publications were presented to the Balakan Executive Power.
