Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Sumgait State University held a meeting with scientists of ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems devoted to the “Science Day”.

Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Samadov Ogtay delivered a report on “Radiation Research - Past and Present”. The scientist informed the participants of the event on a history, directions of scientific work, laboratory activities and achievements of the institute headed by him.

Further, head of the laboratory of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev spoke on solving various environmental problems by the radiation techniques.

Heads of laboratories: Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elimkhan Jafarov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Rahim Mammadov, PhD in Chemical Sciences, associate professor Hokman Mahmudov and Leading Researcher of the Institute, Doctor of Physical Sciences Nushaba Hajiyeva also spoke at the meeting.
