ANAS Nakhchivan Division, Institute of Bioresources discussed "The Old Man and the Sea" book by well-known figure of world literature Ernest Hemingway.

Director of the Institute, academician Tariyel Talibov spoke about the events held in accordance with the Decree "On books that are necessary to read".

Emphasizing the importance of publications in the list for young people, the scientist has focused on Ernest Hemingway's life and creativity, the author of numerous novels and stories. He said that Ernest Heminquey's works, which had a serious impact on the world literature of the 20th century, were reflect the human and his struggle for life. In this regard, “The Old Man and the Sea”, which refers to the strength, will and patience of a person is also one of the examples of creativity that fully reflects life.

It was noted that, several works of the author, including "The Old Man and the Sea" were translated into our language.

At the event, employee of institute Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences Jabbar Najafov delivered paper on “Struggle for survival” in the work “The Old Man and the Sea”.

Then, head of the Zoological Research Department of the Institute, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Akif Bayramov and head of Biochemical Research Laboratory, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Ramiz Alakberov spoke on the topic.
