On April 11, the General Meeting of the Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS) was held at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes of ANAS.
Vice-president of ANAS, academician Dilgam Tagiyev, acting academician-secretary of DCS, academician Vagif Farzaliyev and members of the bureau attended the event.
At the meeting, V.Farzaliyev made a report on the " upcoming tasks for 2019 and the following years at the Department of Chemical Sciences ". He said that the Presidium of ANAS gave certain instructions to the DCS in connection with the report on scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the department in 2018.
He noted that in the study of chemical and technological processes the use of mathematical modeling and information technologies, development of mathematical chemistry development concept in the institutes of the unit, increase of attention to the development of science-intensive technologies, increase of competitiveness of projects presented to grant competitions of international organizations are included in the tasks.
The scientist said that "Nanotechnologies and Nanostructures", "Catalysis and New Materials Chemistry" and "Petrochemistry and Organic Synthesis" are the priorities of scientific research on chemistry for 2020-2025.
Academicians Dilqam Tagiyev, Vagif Abbasov, Abel Maharramov, Adil Garibov, Ajdar Majidov, correspondent members of ANAS - Mohammad Babanli, Bakhtiyar Mammadov and Hafiz Alimardanov made their speeches.
In the end, a number of current issues were considered.
