Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS held a seminar for students of VII and IX grades of secondary school # 211 located in Nasimi district of Baku.

At the seminar, the Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Affairs, PhD in Physics-Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva told about the history, activity, scientific research carried out in the existing laboratories, radiation and nuclear safety, radioecology, peaceful use of nuclear energy, achievements and the institute's international cooperation.

Later, Senior Research Fellow of the Radiobiology Laboratory, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Jamala Orujova made a presentation.

At the end of the seminar, the students got acquainted with the laboratories of the institute.
