Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The leadership of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences congratulated Vice President of ANAS, Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, on her 70th anniversary.

The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli congratulated Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva on being awarded the “Shohrat” Order by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated November 25, 2024. He underlined that this award is an expression of high appreciation not only for the jubilarian scholar but also for Azerbaijani scientists as a whole and the National Academy of Sciences.

The head of ANAS expressed his deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his high appreciation to Azerbaijani science on behalf of the members of the Presidium and staff of the Academy.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the long-term fruitful scientific and socio-political activity of Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva. He said that Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, having passed a distinguished path from the position of laboratory assistant of ANAS to Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies and Vice President of ANAS, has contributed to the development of Oriental Studies and has also worked productively as a scientific organizer.

Following this, members of the Presidium of ANAS presented bouquets of flowers to Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva.

At the end, Vice President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva expressed her deep gratitude to the head of state for the high award.
