Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Institute of Literature named after N.Ganjavi of ANAS hosted an international scientific panel on "Two Poem two poem from Mahmud Akif Ersoy to Bakhtiyar Vahabzade".

An exhibition of works by both poets was also organized within the event.

The meeting was opened by a vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Isa Habibbayli and spoke about the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations. He noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish unity, founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev on strong foundations, is being strengthened and developed by decisive steps of President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today. The joint event dedicated to the creativity of great Turkish poet Mahmud Akif Ersoy and Bakhtiyar Vahabazade is a sign of friendship and brotherhood.

Both poets are famous in the Turkic world today and are known as poets of independence, the scientific panel will promote their creativity to a wider audience, I.Habibbayli said.

The panel was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Nadir Alpaslan, Representative of Ministry of Food and Health of Turkey Nejdet Unuvar, Head of EkoAvrasiya Association, writer Hikmet Eren, Director of Baku Yunus Emre Institute, Associate Professor Jihan Ozdemir, TIKA Baku Program Coordinator Teoman Tiryaki, head of Turkey's Friendship Group in Azerbaijan, MP Shamil Ayrim and M.A.Ersoy's grandson Selma Ersoy Argon talked about Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, as well as creativity of writers.

Finally, discussions were held around the speeches.
