A monograph dedicated to the ancient metallurgy and metalworking of Azerbaijan has been published

The monograph "Ancient Metallurgy and metalworking in Azerbaijan" by Bakhtiyar Jalilov, Head of the Archeological Technology Sector of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, has been published.

The monograph is dedicated to studying the stages of the development of ancient metallurgy and metal production in Azerbaijan. The book provides a wide range of typological classifications of early metallurgical raw materials, ancient mining, metal habitat formation, characteristic features of its development stages and metallic products on the basis of rich material culture samples obtained as a result of archaeological research in Azerbaijan.

The publication consists of four chapters. The first chapter focuses on study history and historiography of ancient metallurgy and metallurgy.

The second chapter deals with the raw materials of ancient metallurgy and metalworking and mining.

The third chapter deals with the creation and development stages of metallurgical and metalworking art in Azerbaijan during the Eneolithic, Bronze and Middle Bronze Age periods.

In the fourth chapter of the research work, the technical methods of production of metal emulsifiers, typological classification of metal objects, weapons, tools, jewelry and bronze items were analyzed in the context of metallurgical and metallurgy art during the last Bronze Age.

The scientific editors of the work are a correspondent member of ANAS Vali Aliyev and professor Maisa Rahimova, scientific researchers are professor Gudrat Ismayilzadeh and PhD in history Vafa Mahmudova.

The monograph is intended for specialists in archeology, history, paleometallurgy, as well as for large readers.
