"1918-1920 genocide against the Azerbaijani people" report was listened at the international conference

An international scientific conference on "Crimes against humanity: the history of Azerbaijan and the Polish peoples in the twentieth century" was held at Warsaw University in Poland.

The organizers of the conference are the Azerbaijani Studies Center at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University. The event was supported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Poland, the Institute of History of ANAS and Azerbaijan's Agency for International Development under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Director of the Institute of History, academician Yagub Mahmudov made a report on "The 1918-1920 genocide against the Azerbaijani people" at the opening of the conference. The scientist said that the Armenian-Dashnak pirates committed genocide against the Turkish-Muslim population of Azerbaijan.

Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw Pyotr Tarakha presented a letter of appreciation to Yagub Mahmudov for the development of scientific relations between the Institute of History and the Institute of History.

At the International Conference, Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs at the Institute of History, Ph.D. in history Jabi and a scientific secretary, Ph.D. history Irada Aliyeva made presentations.

During the visit to Poland, the delegation of the History Institute also visited the memorial plaque dedicated to the renowned Polish orientalist Alexander Hodzko, the translator of the Koroglu epos at the University of Wrocław.
