Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The General Meeting of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS was held. Vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, academician-secretary of the department, academician Teymur Karimli, members of the division, heads of scientific institutions and employees participated in the event.

Opening the meeting, Academician Isa Habibbayli said that the event was devoted to the election of the scientific title of the "Professor of ANAS" in the section.

Academician Teymur Karimli recalled the decision of the Presidium of ANAS on holding the next contest for the title of "Professor of ANAS", dated April 3, 2019. The relevant expert group consisting of members of the division was established to determine the candidates participating in the competition.

After the appointment of an expert commission and a computing commission, secret voting was held with the participation of correspondent and actual members of the department. According to the results, doctors of philology Salida Sharifova, Sevinj Aliyeva and Sabah Orujova won the election. The department approved the results of the election and decided to submit it to the Presidium.
