The presentation of the historical novel "Safavi Sheikh" was held at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS. The author of the book is writer-publicist, playwright, historian-scientist Yunus Oguz.

The event was opened by Vice-President of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Isa Habibbayli and said that Y.Oguz was one of the main creators of the historical novel in the literature of Azerbaijan during independence. He said that the author of more than 10 novels, Y.Oguz's works composes the leading line in the forefront of the statehood of Azerbaijan, the idea of ​​national statehood, ideas of Azerbaijanism.

Corresponding member of ANAS Tehran Alishanoglu made a presentation on "The novelty of Yunus Oguz: from history to belletristics". He emphasized that the writer-publicist's historical novels were in modern interpretation.

Then, the Chairman of the Press Council, MP Aflatun Amashov, MP, Professor Elman Nasirov, Secretary of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan, Editor-in-Chief of "525 Newspaper" Rashad Majid, Head of Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, Academician Nizami Jafarov, Director of Institute of Linguistics, Academician Mohsun Naghisoylu, the art editor of the book, writer Elchin Huseynbeyli and others spoke about the essence of the novel "Safavi Sheikh".

In the end Yunus Oguz expressed his gratitude to organizers of the event.
