Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Members of the project "Exchange of knowledge and academic cultures in the humanities, Europe and the Black Sea region" funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program were a guest of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

The general coordinator of the project is Professor Karl Kaiser, Head of the Department of History and Anthropology of Southeastern Europe at the University of Graz of Austria named after Carl and France, National Project Coordinator for Azerbaijan, department head of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography PhD in history Zaur Hasanov, employees of Bulgaria Southwestern University, Associate Professor Maryana Piskova and Assoc. Anastasia Pashova met with Naila Valikhanli, director of the museum. They were given detailed information about the museum's activities and funds.

Further, the guests got acquainted with the Museum's Eastern Hall, the restoration work there, as well as the materials of the Negative Foundation.

The museum's funds and rich collection have attracted special interest from Austrian scientists. They stated that they intend to research the Museum's Documentary Sources and Negative Funds for several days. The aim of the study is to systematically analyze the photographic material and other documented material protected here.
